Frequently asked questions

The essentials, from choosing a tub to sorting out a delivery.

How many tubs fit in a Letterbox?

Four tub spaces. One standard tub uses one space; a Food Pack uses the spaces required by its component tubs. Packs are kept together, so count the actual parcels rather than just product lines.

Can I mix different livefoods?

You can select different individual tubs for the same parcel. Choose each feeder and size for your animal’s species and life stage; a mixed box is convenient, not a guarantee of a complete diet.

How much is delivery?

Standard postage is £3.55 per parcel. Two parcels cost £7.10 and three cost £10.65. A partly filled parcel carries the same charge as a full one. See delivery & despatch.

When is the order cut-off?

1pm UK time, Monday to Thursday, subject to stock and current service updates. Friday to Sunday orders normally despatch Monday. The despatch information at the top of the shop shows any changes.

Is First Class guaranteed next-day delivery?

No. Despatch means the parcel is sent; arrival depends on the postal service. Allow flexibility and contact us about a delayed order rather than assuming the despatch date is the delivery date.

Will it fit through my letterbox?

The outer pack is approximately 335 × 240 × 25 mm. Check the clear opening, including flaps or brushes. Not all letterboxes can accept it.

Which size and type should I choose?

Start with a reliable care guide for your particular animal. Suitability depends on species, age and feeding ability. Read the beginner feeding guide; contact a reptile-experienced vet when appetite or swallowing causes concern.

How do I keep the livefoods after delivery?

Follow the particular feeder’s storage requirements; not all insects need the same conditions. Keep containers secure and ventilated, and read our care & storage guide.

Something is wrong with my order. What should I do?

Email sales@letterboxlivefoods.co.uk or reply to the order confirmation. Include the order number, what is wrong and photographs where useful. Do not send live insects back without instructions. See returns & order problems.

Can I telephone the Reptilarium about my order?

No. Letterbox customer service is by email. Reptilarium staff cannot access or resolve Letterbox orders; please use our contact page.

How do regular deliveries work?

Choose Make this a regular delivery in your basket, then select how often each Letterbox should repeat. You will need a customer account. Review your choices and the payment information at checkout before confirming.
